Privacy and KVKK Information Notice

Under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”), the data controller is Moren Akademi Eğitim Danışmanlığı Ticaret Limited Şirketi (“Moren Akademi”).

Depending on the nature of your communication with us, the following data may be processed:

• Identity details, such as your first name, surname and WhatsApp profile name;
• Contact details, such as your telephone number and email address;
• The information you share in the assessment application form: your IELTS purpose, your target score, the date by which you need your result, any previous IELTS scores and test date, the times that suit you, any start date you choose from the calendar and any note you add;
• If you choose to share it, other information relevant to your assessment, such as your current level of English, and the content of your email and WhatsApp correspondence;
• Limited technical records needed to provide the website securely, such as your IP address, time of access and browser and device information;
• Aggregate visit statistics that do not directly identify you, such as the number of visits, pages viewed, device type and country.

Please do not send us health information, identity documents, financial information or any other special category of personal data by message unless it is necessary for your enquiry.

• To receive and record your assessment application and contact you to plan your free assessment;
• To respond to your requests for information;
• To recommend a suitable programme and timetable based on your current level and goal;
• To manage communication about appointments, programmes and enrolment;
• To improve our content and user experience by monitoring how the website is used through aggregate statistics;
• To keep our services secure and prevent misuse;
• To fulfil our legal obligations and protect our rights in the event of a dispute.

Your personal data may be processed on the following legal grounds: that processing is directly related to entering into a contract at your request; that it is necessary to fulfil our legal obligations; that it is necessary to establish, exercise or protect a right; and that it is necessary for the legitimate interests of Moren Akademi, provided that this does not harm your fundamental rights.

Where marketing messages are to be sent electronically, the necessary consent procedures are applied separately in line with the relevant legislation. Requesting information does not in itself mean that you consent to receiving marketing messages.

The checkbox in the application form is there for you to confirm that you have read this notice; it does not mean that you consent to receiving marketing messages.

Your personal data is collected partly by automated means, through the assessment application form on our website, your email and WhatsApp correspondence and the website's technical infrastructure. When you submit the form, the information you share is stored in a secure database and sent to Moren Akademi's email address as an application notification. The “Message us on WhatsApp” and email links simply open the relevant app on your device; your message is not sent to Moren Akademi until you send it.

Limited technical access records and aggregate visit statistics may be created automatically by the website's hosting and security infrastructure.

The website and the application form run on the Lovable platform and the cloud infrastructure it provides (hosting and database services). Application notification emails are sent through the Resend email delivery service. If you choose to send an email, your message is transmitted through your email provider and Moren Akademi's email provider; if you choose WhatsApp, it is transmitted through the WhatsApp/Meta infrastructure.

The servers of these service providers may be located outside Türkiye, so your personal data may be transferred abroad to provide the service, in accordance with the KVKK provisions on cross-border transfers. You may wish to review the relevant providers' privacy terms before using these services. Moren Akademi does not share or sell personal data to third parties unless there is a legal obligation to do so or it is necessary to provide the service.

Your personal data is kept for as long as necessary to complete your assessment application and your communication request, and thereafter only for the periods required by the relevant legislation, the applicable limitation periods and the follow-up of any legal disputes. Once the purpose of retention no longer applies, the data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised in accordance with the legislation.

Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to:

• Find out whether your personal data is being processed and, if so, request information about it;
• Find out the purpose of the processing and whether the data is being used in line with that purpose;
• Know the third parties, in Türkiye or abroad, to whom the data has been transferred;
• Request the correction of incomplete or inaccurate data;
• Request the deletion or destruction of the data where the legal conditions are met;
• Request that any correction, deletion or destruction be notified to the parties to whom the data has been transferred;
• Object to any outcome against you that results from analysis carried out exclusively by automated systems;
• Claim compensation if you suffer damage as a result of unlawful processing.

You can send your requests and questions under the KVKK to info@morenakademi.com. To handle your request securely, we may ask for additional information to verify your identity and your connection to the request. Other methods of application provided for in the legislation remain available.

This notice may be updated if the way the website works, the service providers we use or the legislation changes. The current version is published on this page together with its last updated date.
